Check out Coogee Pavilion, the obvious multi-level beachside choice of hangout. which boasts a wood-fired pizza oven, oyster bar, juice cart, flower stall and playground kitted out with three ping-pong tables, giant Scrabble board and blocks. Upstairs is a rooftop bar with gorgeous views. Genteel in the day, this bar really comes alive at night.

Coogee bay hotel is another popular beach bar, attracting locals and holidaymakers alike.

A fantastic secret spot is McIvers Ladies' baths, just a 17 minute walk away. The cliff-side swimming spot is one of the most private places to bathe in all of Sydney. The view is stunning too!

Just on your doorstep are a handful of great coffee shops, where you can pick up the upmarket surfer vibes along with your flat white to take away.
