LUJO Spanish for luxury is less a renovation than a complete reimagining of the coastal home.

Approximately 70 metres from the beach, the residence has been rebuilt around a singular design language. Tulum-inspired with Mediterranean textural influences, it brings together natural stone, rich timbers, tactile surfaces and an earthy palette of terracotta, blush and deep tonal accents.

The result is deliberately unique. Warm, grounded and architectural a home with an identity entirely of its own.

There is an intentionality to the material palette.

Hand-finished artisan render applied to walls and ceilings throughout, creates a seamless, softly textured backdrop built for coastal conditions, while A-grade travertine moves from inside to out. Solid Paulownia timber and substantial repurposed railway sleepers bring warmth and architectural weight, offset by bronze and copper-toned detailing.

At the centre, the kitchen is unapologetically sculptural. Pink Patagonia natural quartzite makes the statement, contrasted against moody timber cabinetry, with natural Tiramisu onyx carried through the residence to create continuity. Integrated appliances and a concealed butler's pantry allow the architecture and stonework to remain the focus.

But LUJO's transformation extends well beyond what you can see.

The original home has been comprehensively reconfigured and rebuilt to create a family-led floorplan with five bedrooms upstairs and a private ground-floor guest suite. New structural elements, vaulted ceilings and substantial acoustic and thermal treatment give the home a sense of solidity that matches the quality of its finishes.
The guest retreat has been deliberately separated from the main accommodation, creating genuine independence for grandparents, guests or an au pair, with its own bathroom and direct connection to the living and outdoor spaces.

Outside, the home shifts effortlessly into resort mode. Rather than one entertaining area, LUJO unfolds through a series of breakout spaces designed around different moments of the day morning coffee, long afternoons and evenings around the grill. Custom seating, solid blockwork and considered tropical landscaping create an environment that feels intimate, private and distinctly removed from the everyday.
