Byron Shire Council's new decision to permit dual occupancy on rural community title land applies to this near-empty central Byron block
A secluded haven of immense natural beauty, this exceptional property is nestled in the tranquil surrounds of the coveted 'Woodlands Estate'. Located just 3 kms from the vibrant centre of Byron Bay and beaches, Woodlands graces 100 acres of pristine bushland. Walk to The Roadhouse Cafe for a coffee, cycle to Tallow's beach for a morning surf.
Byron Shire Council's new decision to permit dual occupancy on rural community title land applies to this near empty central Byron block. Given the Byron Shire Council new decision to permit dual occupancy on rural community title [https://byron.infocouncil.biz/Open/2022/09/PLAN_08092022_AGN_1487_WEB.htm], which permits "secondary buildings" including "a second house" [https://www.echo.net.au/2022/09/rural-housing-rules-eased/], this development opportunity is beyond rare.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase Lot 3', set on 2885m2 of serene grounds. Straddling the ridge top and facing north east, Lot 3 is the original developer's block, hence the largest block on Woodlands. As Lot 3 is one of the very few vastly under-developed blocks of land in Byron Bay, there is ample room to create your dream in the jewel of the heart of "old Byron", designed from the ground up.
The current hand-built hardwood home is the perfect place to allow your vision to manifest. Or to keep as the real Byron hardwood surf shack with a view.
Behold the stunning natural landscape from the large covered timber deck. Positioned on a flood proof ridgetop, and featuring a mould-resistant building design, Australian hardwood floors with raked ceilings that grace the sunlit living area .
Private roads and walking tracks. A wildlife sanctuary. Koalas, wallabies, a bird lovers dream. And, a stones throw from the heart of Byron Bay. Stroll to the iconic Roadhouse. Ride, walk or drive into Byron town.
Serene master bedroom with built-ins and leafy outlook flows to the balcony.
Light-washed second bedroom could make an ideal work-from-home space.
The elevated block enjoys gentle breezes, or keep warm by the fireplace.
Explore the natural walking and cycle trails, spy a wallaby or sleeping koala.
This is truly a very special, private and peaceful place to fall in love with and call home.
