Archibald Simpson was then a prominent Sydney barrister and later served 21 years on the NSW Supreme Court including time as Chief Judge in Equity. Terry & Diana Kenny purchased Yangoora from the Simpson family in an off-market sale in 1964. The house was at that time in a state of poor repair. Over the next 57 years, the Kenny's meticulously restored and improved the property which is now offered for sale on the market for the first time in 128 years.
