Situated on one of the most beautiful rivers in the district, Barrington River Lodge offers a unique opportunity for a lifestyle tree change with a sustainable, active tourism business.
The Lodge, two cabins, camping area, and grounds are beautifully maintained and supported by excellent infrastructure, which can accommodate 54 people.
The jewel in the crown is the river. Meander through the park-like grounds to the beautiful Barrington River, where you can swim, fish, kayak, picnic on its banks, or build a fire in the pit and watch the sun go down. The river setting creates a wonderful environment to connect with nature.
The Lodge offers eight bedrooms with bunks and double and queen beds. A large guest lounge room with a wood-burning fireplace, many comfy chairs, and a shared kitchen leads to the larger commercial kitchen and dining area with room to accommodate a full house. The verandah and deck overlook the gardens and river. A camping area is available near the river, with shared facilities of the Lodge.
The Family Cabin accommodates up to five guests and offers two bedrooms, a kitchen/dining area, a bathroom, and a deck with separate BBQ and firepit facilities. The Retreat Cabin is for couples and provides a queen bed, an open-plan living and kitchen area, and a large undercover deck overlooking the river.
A separate owners/managers area has a bedroom, bathroom, office, kitchen, storage, and workshop facilities. Local cleaning/maintenance staff support the owners, who run the business virtually with local check-in assistance.
Bookings are well established and growing with many returning clients. Weekends are booked well in advance, and the business has the capacity to expand if desired.
This is a perfect opportunity for a tree change lifestyle buyer, an organisation looking to establish a retreat, create an outdoor adventure/education base, or continue the business as it is, offering family fun in a superb location.
It's only 12.5km to Gloucester, with groceries, cafes, medical and hospital support, sporting, social and community groups. Several national parks are within a 45-minute drive and are the big hit in winter when it snows, and the mid-north coast is just over an hour's drive. Three hours from Sydney makes this a perfect location.
