"There are so many things we love about our home. It starts with the garden, which is our private green oasis to relax and unwind in at the end of a long day. I've spent many an hour relaxing on the outdoor couch with a good book. Our few fruit trees mean we can pick our own apricots, figs and pomegranates and eat them right there, beside the tree. The main bedroom has great views out to stunning sunsets over the Brindabellas, lightning cracking over Percival Hill, and late winter snowfalls on the ranges. The house itself is light and airy, with the open plan design making it easy to have friends over for dinner.
Crace has always had a great community vibe, with a vibrant community garden and active local community and Landcare groups. It's been a joy to be able to make friends for life in our own suburb, as incidental chats while swapping vegies at the garden became brunch at the central caf or dinner at the pub (I highly recommend the pizza and tiramisu). Crace is also a really easy place to stay active. I love an early morning walk over the central Hilltop Reserve to pick some strawberries or asparagus from my community garden plot. The streets are wide and well-lit, there's parks everywhere, and there are great walks and bike rides in every direction the serene bushland of Gungahlin Hill Nature Reserve is our favourite local place to get into nature. And of course, one of Crace's best features is that it is close to Gungahlin, Belconnen and Civic, so we have everything we need nearby."
