YES! There really is Garaging for 5 cars!!!

Holiday at Home... Inspired by the casual elegance and tropical vibes of Broome’s iconic Cable Beach Club Resort, this 5-bedroom 2-bathroom (plus powder room) plus 5-car garage family abode has so much to offer that 35 photos and a 60 second video don’t do it justice, and in writing this description I have struggled to know where to begin – so let’s start at the street…
Set in a quiet, family-friendly cul-de-sac surrounded by the BEST neighbours and with local-only traffic, the Contemporary Australian Coastal façade with its established lawn and native garden is a hint of what to expect inside - Welcome home to 8 Hilton Place, Duncraig, you’ll LOVE living here!
Wandering up the inviting curved driveway you might notice the fully restored roof, and of course I can’t let you venture inside without first pointing out the massive 3-car garage – the ultimate car enthusiasts’ hangout - PLUS a second 2-car garage with an extra height door for that 4WD (yes, the one with the ‘lift-kit’ and fitted out with roof racks and the full camping setup of course)… and still with space left over for the home gym! But more on that later…
The welcome continues with a wide front entry door and instantly I suspect - just like me, you’ll be slowed down to holiday pace, (I think I can smell the frangipanis and the Reef Oil) with engineered jarrah flooring, soaring thatched ceilings with fans and resort ‘feels’ that take you from the entrance through the open-plan kitchen-dining-living and out to the alfresco with its Western Red Cedar-lined patio and the sparkling salt pool beyond – bring on Summer!
The gourmet kitchen is an entertainers dream, with a walk-in pantry and the best quality appliances available packing a punch into this well-designed space – from the Schweigen silent wall mount rangehood to the V-Zug Induction cooktop and gas wok burner, to the double ZUG wall ovens – one conventional and one steam oven – and a warmer drawer, and my personal favourites – the in-built Meile Coffee machine and wine fridge!
The kitchen island is calling out for you to pull up a stool and relax with a pre-dinner drink and watch the sun set over the trees and throw reflections off the pool…
The relaxed tropical feel follows through to the primary suite, where the glass sliding door to outside invites the breeze, creating the soothing sound of the gently moving Western Red Cedar blinds. Together with the stunning ensuite with twin vanities, extra-large shower and a Japanese Soaking bath successfully combine - all part of the sellers plan to evoke that unmistakable sense of Broome-time… mission accomplished, it’s bliss! There is a wall of built-in robes and the wc is separate.
Moving through to the rear of the home, there is a guest powder room in the hall and the four minor bedrooms (2 currently used as studies) all have built-in robes, and the renovated family bathroom with custom cabinetry is stunning, and third toilet is separate, but what I love is the flexibility this floorplan affords. It cleverly separates the sleeping quarters and the two living rooms (making one a great kids zone or guest area) while still having the option for them to be interconnected via the alfresco through glass sliding doors – which is great with party season on the way.
The backyard is low maintenance, and it also has two separate zones, meaning space and privacy for all, so it really is a home that will grow with your family’s needs or accommodate extended family or long-term guests (because, well, who would want to leave?)
To call the massive walk-through storeroom fitted out with extensive built-in shelves a ‘shoppers entrance’ would be an understatement, maybe even an insult, but ultimately this is the best ‘drop zone’ for school bags, groceries, sporting kits, suitcases or whatever. And there is even room to add sliding doors to this area, so you can really drop and go – just slide the door over the mess!
