GreenTech International supplier of spray solutions to the horticulture sector

In 1997 GreenTech developed, patented and manufactured the first electrically powered spray system for chemical and fertiliser application used for plant protection in the horticultural, viticulture and vegetable industries. Since then, GreenTech is one of the market leaders in supply of spray systems both domestically in Australia and internationally.
Based in South Australia, with an international spread, the business has innovated, developed, manufactured and sold, vineyard spray systems, tree spray systems, row crop spray systems, chemical mixing and transfer systems, fruit air dry systems, liquid fertiliser spray application systems and mango fruit harvesting equipment.
The significance to GreenTech's success has been, and is, the innovation of electrically powered spray heads. This system has bought about main advantages to the industry.
Firstly, compared with conventional "Air-Blast Spray Equipment", the GreenTech technology has been proven that the volume of chemicals has been reduced to 10% of competitor's systems from 3000 litres per hectare to about 300 litres per hectare, whilst also achieving outstanding improved spray coverage of all parts of leaves and the crop resulting in better quality produce yield. Secondly, by having taken advantage of the use of electrical motors to power the spray heads and not depend on the tractor's hydraulic system, has totally eliminated any risks of overheating hydraulic oil that could cause costly damage to the tractor and potential contamination of valuable crops.
Additionally, by utilising an industrial 3-phase electric motor there are greater efficiencies gained in both cost and effectiveness, while also being highly reliable and outstanding reduction in tractor diesel fuel consumption are also actual benefits.
The versatility of the GreenTech spray heads can be manufactured to accommodate all types of crops with features such as 4 spray nozzles up to 16 nozzles per spray head. Furthermore, a single GreenTech spray machine can feature as little as 2 spray heads and up to 18 spray heads that guarantee outstanding flexibility in the market and adaptations for all types of crops and customer's requirements.
The design of the GreenTech spray head, the fan, shroud and spray nozzles and the complete machines have also been tested by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) and the University of Florida, Horticultural Sciences Department, Research Centre, all reported outstanding results. GreenTech also accomplished the engineering compliance of the BS848 standard to prove that the unique design provides high airflow and maximum air-characteristic and turbulence while reducing air drag.
Over the years GreenTech has established markets internationally including in New Zealand, New Caledonia and prior to the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) in 2008, the United Staes and Chile. All markets received the company's products enthusiastically and all can be expanded by a new owner. Current international sales are conducted through sales agents. Within Australia, there is a current distributor network established that has outstanding capacity for growth. Additionally, GreenTech also sell and distributes directly to the market and to individual large scale horticultural farmers and giant corporate entities and growers in regional areas where the distributor network does not cover. This allows for a fully national coverage within Australia.
The company's target markets are growers within the geographic coverage mentioned above, both domestically and internationally, that grow very high value crops within the horticultural, viticultural and vegetable industries. This ensures that GreenTech is dealing with farmers, growers and corporate entities that have financial capacity to acquire, maintain, renew and purchase GreenTech products.
The constant review of the products sold, the current market requirements, and any legislations within the jurisdictions where the products are sold, ensures that the company is not only well-informed of movements within its target markets, but also of future trends. This allows the company to continue to set and maintain the benchmark for the industry. GreenTech has built a strong reputation within its target markets, positioning itself as a market leader in the industry. This has allowed the business to grow consistently over the years and produce solid revenues and levels of profit. In so doing, the business produces a good return on investment.
