Acreage by the Sea: Award-Winning Private Estate, Under 1km to the Beach
'Nojoor' sits on 8,579sqm (2.12 acres) of private, retained bushland with direct frontage to the championship Twin Waters Golf Course, less than a kilometre from Mudjimba Beach. It's one of only 24 acreage holdings on the road, in a pocket of the Sunshine Coast many buyers don't know exists.
The owners, with a background in design and building, created Nojoor as a private wonderland: a family retreat where the kids and dogs run free and the adults have fun, and where a holiday starts the moment you arrive home.
It was designed by Hive Architecture's Damian Goode and built by Basalt Constructions. The home won the Master Builders Queensland 2025 President's Award and Best Residential Bathroom, and was named Runner-Up Queensland House of the Year. ArchDaily, The Local Project and Houzz have all featured it. It was completed in January 2025 in full concrete construction, with handcrafted joinery, AWS double glazing, Abodo cladding and Artedomus Japanese tile work. It's built to last, yet it feels warm, relaxed and made for family life.
The land comes first. Rather than clearing the block, the bushland was kept and the home set within it. The grounds were designed by a landscape architect, with mature planting, flagstone paving and exposed aggregate driveways. The property is gated and can't be seen from the road, and with the golf course behind it there are no rear neighbours.
Living is spread across a main lounge, living and dining area, a children's lounge and a bar, so there's room to come together and room to retreat. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the landscape. The chef's kitchen centres on a stone island under double-height ceilings, with Ilve, Miele, Fisher & Paykel and Liebherr appliances and a butler's pantry. A custom concrete dining table anchors the heart of the home, and there's a climate-controlled wine cellar.
The master retreat has a walk-in robe and an award-winning ensuite. A curved wall of handcrafted Japanese tile wraps around dual rainfall showers under a skylight, with bespoke marble and timber finishes.
Outdoors, days revolve around the pool and integrated spa, both commercially heated for year-round swimming. Alongside are a pool house, a custom concrete outdoor kitchen, covered entertaining areas and a fire pit. A sauna and ice bath make a private wellness retreat. The kids get a flying fox, a tree house, a basketball hoop, a play area, motorbike tracks through the bush and more than two acres to roam.
The main residence has five bedrooms and a three-car garage. The 19m x 12m six-bay shed has a modern skillion roof with 4.2m to 3.2m clearance for boats, caravans and motorhomes. It also holds a gym, a salon/studio with its own WC, workshop space and secure storage, plus a 4m x 3m rear carport and motorised roller doors linked to the Savant security system. The salon is a flexible space that could suit guests or a home business.
Savant automation lets you run the whole property from anywhere in the world: lighting, blinds, fans, fireplaces, TVs, music room by room, Daikin climate control, pool, spa, sauna, irrigation, alarm and cameras. Lutron lighting and shading are integrated throughout. The home is backed by a 35kW solar array, a 65kWh battery, EV charging, 45,000 litres of filtered rainwater and a bore.
Mudjimba Beach is under a kilometre away and Twin Waters village is a five-minute walk. The airport is about five minutes by car, Maroochydore 10 minutes and Noosa 30 minutes.
