Whether you are a real estate agent, private seller or property developer, onthehouse.com.au has been designed to make buying and selling real estate, not only easy, but less costly and without complication.

Unlike other property classified websites, we have the whole market covered.  With our combination of agent listings, private sales and free sales data, we offer something for everyone. 

Our free sales data is a comprehensive list of house prices and property values which you can display on our mapping feature alongside comparable agent listings and private sales. 

Its easy to search for sold data – simply enter your search criteria as usual in the Search tab ensuring the ‘sold’ box is selected.

Agents

We did a little research and this is what we came up with:

• you pay too much in portal fees and costs are increasing;
• the level of third party banner advertisements on existing sites detract from your advertising and your property listings;
• if you are an independent agent, you are likely to be paying shareholders of a major portal which include rival franchise systems (i.e. competition);
• if you are a franchisee of a major franchise system which is a shareholder in a major portal, you are paying your franchisors even greater fees/royalties;

We propose to hit these issues 'head-on' by:

• allowing you to upload your client's properties to the site - free of charge (PS: We will NEVER charge you!);
• managing regional banner advertising competitions for you based on the quantity of your listings*;
• supplying sales data absolutely free of charge!

*Our technology will examine the level of content posted by agents in each regional area per month and generate an advertisement in each search results page relevant to a particular search enquiry in that region.  For instance, if a search in West End in Queensland generated 100 properties for sale, then each page of 10 property listings would contain an agent advertisement, selected and ranked by quantity of listings of those agents in the region.

The data on regional markets collected by onthehouse.com.au will be collated, analysed and made available to agents as a valuable resource tool.  onthehouse.com.au will listen to agents and endeavour to make available and customise the marketing reporting needs of agents.  There will be no fee payable by agents for this service.  Reports of this nature will be available to agents who surpass minimum listing requirements for the region.

Sellers

We believe everyone should have the ability to create their own listing.

With onthehouse.com.au you have two options if you wish to sell your property:

• our 'no up-front cost to list' method.  You can place your listing free of charge on our site.  If your property is sold through onthehouse.com.au, you only pay 0.5% commission (plus GST) on the sale price of your property, rather than the usual agent fees of 2.5% and above.  If your property is not sold through onthehouse.com.au, you don't pay a thing!  Your listing will remain on the site until your property is sold*.
• our 'up-front' payment method.  Pay just $250 (inclusive of GST) to list your property*!  No other fees payable.  This fee is non-refundable.

Can I use onthehouse.com.au as well as a real estate agent?  Yes you can!  If you prefer to use a real estate agent, why not try our 'list for free' method as well?  You should ensure you have an 'open listing' with your real estate agent to enable you to do this.  Check out our How To guide for more information on this.

Use an agent.  Go private.  Do both.  Your choice!

What about all the other things agents do you ask?  No need to worry.  Our 'Hints & Tips' will lead you through the sale process.  From setting a sale price on your property to photographing your property, we show you how to do it all!  We can even provide a For Sale sign for a small fee.  What about the contract you ask?  As usual, your solicitor will prepare the Contract of Sale.

Buyers

We've got the lot!  Agent sales, private sales and sales data means that we are your one stop shop for real estate.  You don't need to look anywhere else! 

Buyers may also receive free conveyancing/legals on the purchase of a property from onthehouse.com.au.  This service is only made available to buyers who purchase a property listed using our 'no up-front cost to list' method.  At the point of enquiry on a property, we will advise whether you are eligible for this service.
