What are Local Area Experts?

onthehouse.com.au displays a number of local area experts in suburbs around Australia.
These experts fall into the following categories:

• “For Sale Experts” – Real Estate Agents who are experts in advising on and selling properties in the area.
• “For Rent Experts” – Real Estate Agents who are experts in advising on and renting properties in the area.
• “Home Loan Experts” – Home Loan Specialists who are able to help you with a home loan in the area.
  

Local area experts can appear on map search result pages and our property profile reports - two of the highest traffic areas of our site.  Non-Real Estate Agent experts can also appear on the for sale listings on the site.
There are only a limited number of local area expert spots available in each suburb.  Consumers can engage with local area experts to discuss properties in the local area through a contact form, or by the details listed on the experts profile.

Can I be a Local Area Expert?

Any Australian real estate agent who operates a traditional real estate service can be a "For Sale" or "For Rent" local area expert.  If you haven't already, simply sign up for an agency account from the "join now" button on the main menu.  Once your account is approved by our customer service department, you can log in to your profile, and select the "Local Expert" menu option.  From here you can nominate yourself as a local area expert in a given category (for sale or for rent) in your suburb.
